a few exotic berry juices

Lately I've become somewhat of a juice connoisseur, especially berry juices. Did you know there are dozens of berries out there? We all know the common ones like strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, cranberries, etc. But there are some lesser known ones like elderberries, gooseberries, lingonberries, and even something called chokeberries. None of these outrageous ones are covered here, I just wanted to mention that such fruits exist. Here are my takes on a few of the rarer juices I've tried recently, with the usual pictures provided.

1. Goji Berry + Pomegranate

I'm a huge fan of pomegranate, ever since I was a kid. I had only heard about Goji berries until now. I didn't even know what they looked like. So when I saw a bottle of this stuff I had to give it a try. The bottle was nicely shaped and textured too. I took a sip and tasted the pomegranate as expected. The goji? Not so much. If anything it added just a bit of tartness to the juice. I don't know if pure goji juice would've had more taste, or whether the pomegranate was overpowering the goji. But in the end, the goji berry juice does little to enhance what is already an awesome juice in pomegranate.

2. Mulberry

Again, I had heard of mulberries but never tried them. They look an awful lot like blackberries, which are also great. It's a nice, thick juice. The taste was unexpected. Not in a bad way, however. It tasted like candy, really. The kind of sticky, hard candy that would rot your teeth. Kinda like jolly ranchers. It was alright, but not something I could drink a lot of. This was pure mulberry juice too, with nothing added. Surprising taste indeed. Doesn't taste like any other berry.

3. Black Currant juice

The first I heard about this juice was in Super Mario RPG, a long time ago. I always wondered what it was, and am glad I found out. This juice is wonderful. Light, tasty, sweet. It's something you can drink with a meal. It tastes like a cross between blueberry and blackberry juice. Very good stuff.
